OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID
LEVEL THREE COURSE
DESCRIPTION:
The Occupational First Aid Level 3 Course provides training to industrial first aid attendants enabling them to alleviate suffering or even save a life. Training will range from scene assessments and soft tissue injuries to administering oxygen and transporting patients with spinal injuries.
HOURS OF INSTRUCTION:
- 70 Hours.....$710.00
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Participants will learn:
- minor wound care to medical emergencies
- priority action approach and critical interventions
- primary and secondary surveys
- head, spinal, fracture management
- administering O2 and patient transport
- proper documentation for all treatments
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
- Occupational First Aid Level 3 Course binder. – Included.
EVALUATION
Students must:
- participate for the full duration of the class
- successfully complete scenarios (70%)
- successfully complete written tests (70%)
Certification is valid for 2 years.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 16 years of age
